"Judging by the enthusiastic reception they received at this open mic session, new rhythm and blues band '491 blues' seem set to become one of the most popular rhythm and blues bands on the local Scene. Both their playing and approach are refreshingly professional. They certainly take their work seriously, being well rehearsed and disciplined, working together as a team, each member of the band complimenting the four other members. Drummer Tony drives the band along with a strong, steady beat and some good stick work. He is ably supported by Charlie on bass, who knows how to produce root chords with accuracy, for nimble fingered lead guitarist Adrian to improvise on. Harry whose blues harmonica playing adds an extra dimension along with Tony, Charlie and Adrian, provide superb backing for the final member of the band, Brian, whose unique vocal style makes '491 blues' well worth listening too.
